Climate change adaptation
Climate change is expected to lead to increased precipitation and increased run-off in much of northern Europe. In Sweden, rainfall can increase by 30 percent in large parts of the country and this may have direct consequences for geotechnical characteristics of soil and the possibilities to build on it. A changing climate also affects the risk of pollution spreading due to natural disasters.
Collaboration and research
We participate in different types of collaboration, both nationally and internationally, where we aim to improve society’s ability to adapt to a changing climate. Collaboration takes place both through inter-agency collaboration and through participation in various research and development projects. We also conduct our own research.
