The Institute of Ecology and Geography established in accordance with the Decision of the Government of the Republic of Moldova “On measures to optimize the infrastructure of science and innovation” No. 1326 of December 14, 2005 by merging the National Institute of Ecology of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and the Institute of Geography of the Academy of Science of Moldova.

Assessment of Cross(X) - sectoral climate Impacts and pathways for Sustainable transformation
The ERA-NET Consortium AXIS (Assessment of Cross(X) - sectoral climate Impacts and pathways for Sustainable transformation) aims to promote cross-boundary, cross-community research with the overall goal to improve coherence, integration and robustness of climate impact research and connect it to societal needs. To this effect, AXIS aims to overcome boundaries between science communities through inter- or transdisciplinary research projects.
SINCERE (CSA)
Strengthening INternational Cooperation on climatE change Research
SINCERE, consistent with the EU research and innovation policy, strengthens open international climate change research and innovation cooperation involving European partners in support of the implementation of the Paris Climate Agreement, including in the broader context of the Sendai Framework for Disaster reduction and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
