GERICS
The Climate Service Center Germany (GERICS) was initiated by the German Federal Government in 2009 as a fundamental part of the German hightech-strategy for climate protection at Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht – Zentrum für Material- und Küstenforschung GmbH (since March 31, 2021 renamed in Helmholtz-Zentrum hereon GmbH). In June 2014, the center – later renamed GERICS – became a scientific organizational entity of Hereon.

ERA-NET Cofund for Climate Services - This ERA-NET Consortium has been designed to boost the development of efficient Climate Services in Europe, by supporting research for developing better tools, methods and standards on how to produce, transfer, communicate and use reliable climate information to cope with current and future climate variability.
