Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office - UK
The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) is the United Kingdom’s governmental department responsible for foreign affairs and international development. Established in September 2020 through the merger of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and the Department for International Development (DFID), the FCDO leads the UK’s diplomatic, development, and consular efforts worldwide. Headquartered at King Charles Street in London, the FCDO manages the UK’s diplomatic network, including embassies, high commissions, and consulates globally. Its core priorities encompass promoting British values such as freedom and democracy, building strategic partnerships, protecting British interests, and supporting UK citizens abroad.
