The Pyrenean Institute of Ecology (IPE) is a research center integrated into the Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC), within the Area of Natural Resources.
It has two offices, one in Jaca and the other in Zaragoza, and our main mission is to contribute to the understanding of the functioning and structure of terrestrial systems and the organisms that live there.
We investigate the changes that occur in these systems as a result of Global Change, including climate variability and human activities, providing the scientific basis for their conservation and management.
