Updates from the LAMACLIMA project

1) Contributions by the LAMACLIMA consortium members
Members of the LAMACLIMA consortium have recently published 2 articles:
- MESMER-M: an Earth system model emulator for spatially resolved monthly temperature by Shruti Nath et al. – Published April 2022 in Earth System Dynamics.
- The biogeophysical effects of idealized land cover and land management changes in Earth system models by Steven De Hertog et al. – Published September 2022 in Earth System Dynamics.
2) LAMACLIMA Project Extension
The LAMACLIMA project has been extended until June 2023. The project will come to an end with a closing consortium workshop – including exchanges with stakeholders – and a final report. More details will be shared in coming months.
The overarching goal of the LAMACLIMA project is to advance the scientific and public understanding of the coupled effects between LCLM and climate, and to inform the elaboration of sustainable land-based adaptation and mitigation measures.
