JPI Climate Featured in Alter Interview at ECCA2025

How can research, policy, and practice come together to tackle the accelerating climate crisis? That was the central theme of the interview with JPI Climate’s Executive Director, Petra Manderscheid, recorded by Alter during ECCA2025, the European Climate Change Adaptation Conference.

The interview was published by Alter! which is fostered by the Horizon Europe MAIA project. MAIA works to connect and support Europe’s many climate initiatives, building stronger synergies and ensuring knowledge is shared across communities.

In the conversation, Petra explains how JPI Climate unites science, solutions, and society to drive climate action across Europe. She reflects on the role of a small but dedicated team that coordinates major transnational research initiatives, fosters trust across borders, and builds platforms for knowledge-sharing such as the ECCA Conference itself. By strengthening collaboration between researchers, policymakers, and practitioners, JPI Climate helps ensure that climate knowledge is not only produced but also transformed into concrete messages that support real-world action.
