MAGICA stands for “MAximising the synergy of European research Governance and Innovation for Climate Action” and it is a 4-year Coordination and Support Action funded under the Horizon Europe programme within the call “HORIZON-CL5-2021-D1-01-03”.

The partnership brings together 24 leading climate change research and boundary organizations from 13 European countries, but MAGICA’s network extends far beyond that.

In fact, MAGICA shares the main objectives of the Joint Programming Initiative “Connecting Climate Knowledge for Europe” (JPI Climate) and can count on the cooperation of all its country members. The MAGICA project operates at the heart of JPI Climate’s strategic priority of accelerating the development and transfer of knowledge from science to policy and practice within the European Research Area (ERA).
