The joint call on Climate and Cultural Heritage with JPI Cultural Heritage and the Belmont Forum has closed on September 9 with 49 submitted proposals. This research call, or “Collaborative Research Action” (CRA), is an initiative of the Joint Programming Initiatives (JPI) on Cultural Heritage and Global Change (JPI-CH) and Connecting Climate Knowledge for Europe (JPI Climate) and the Belmont Forum.

The call addresses three complimentary themes:

  1. The Impact of Climate Change on Cultural Heritage;
  2. Cultural Heritage as a Resource for Climate Mitigation and Adaptation;
  3. Sustainable Solutions for Heritage.

National eligibility checks are expected to be completed in September, with a funding decision reached by end of November following evaluations by a panel of experts.
