BELSPO to Co-Organise the 14th SOFF Steering Committee Meeting in Brussels

The Belgian Science Policy Office (BELSPO) jointly with the Belgian Federal Public Service Foreign Affairs (MD8) will organise the 14th meeting of the UN Systematic Observation Financing Facility (SOFF) Steering Committee, taking place from 27 to 29 May 2026.

As part of the programme, BELSPO will host a working dinner on 27 May highlighting Belgium’s contribution to international efforts in weather forecasting, early warning systems, and climate resilience.

Through the JPI Climate Secretariat, the dinner will also create an opportunity to connect representatives of the CAPA project (Climate Action within the AU-EU Partnership in Africa), to which BELSPO contributes, with representatives of SOFF, fostering exchange and collaboration between both initiatives.
