The 23rd meeting of the JPI Climate Governing Board (GB) took place as an online meeting on 28-29 of June. The Board discussed JPI Climate’s ongoing and planned actions, an update on the design of Action Groups (AGs), the Report on the 2nd Scoping Forum Symposium (SFS) and reflected on the latest developments of the Horizon Europe Call on maximising the impact of climate change research results.

The GB recognised the success of the 5th European Climate Change Adaptation Conference (ECCA 2021) and the contribution of JPI Climate to the success of this event. The GB thanked the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation (DG RTD) for hosting the high-level event (22 June 2021) and for the resources that they mobilised for this. ECCA2021 provided a key forum for exchange of information between scientists, policymakers, and practitioners in public and private institutions, and informed the achievement of climate resilience.
