The Equinox Summit II

The Equinox Summit II with the support of MAGICA, funded by the European Commission will take place under the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union on March 26 ,2024.

A related session was organised under the Spanish Presidency in the  Spanish Dialogues on Sustainability, the Think2030 Conference. You can watch our session here (from hour 6:00).

The aim of the Equinox Process  is to accelerate the transfer of knowledge from science and innovation to support policy and implementation of actions in Europe Started with 1st Equinox Summit in Brussels, 21-22 March 2023.

A statement was endorsed which agrees to establish a process to determine how to accelerate the transfer of knowledge from science and innovation to climate policy and actions, taking account of the need to forge a new generation of committed scientists and experts who are aware of the priorities related to the “Climate Change Science” and communicators, considering and including the role science plays in informing achievement of climate neutrality, climate resilience and managing social, economic, secure, and just transitions and transformations.
