SBSTA Side Event – Bonn

On 15 June 2026, a Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA) side event will take place in Bonn, Germany. The event will start at 13:15 and will be held at the Bonn Marriott Hotel, Platz der Vereinten Nationen 4, Bonn, in Room Villa Hammerschmidt.

The side event will focus on the key outcomes from the recent event, the Equinox Stocktake in Brussels (summary report now available). It will provide updates on ongoing developments, and discuss options to address the identified challenges.

Expected contributions are from JPI Climate, the German Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMBFTR), the Global Climate Observing System (GCOS) and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF), and the European Space Agency (ESA).
