LAMACLIMA final workshop

Event

DATE: Tuesday 13 June 2023, 13:00-15:00 CEST

The LAMACLIMA project has furthered our understanding of coupled effects between land use land management changes and climate. This has been accomplished through the generation of expert informed global land-use scenarios, public webinar series, seven peer-reviewed publications so far, and at least three more in review and preparation. To reflect on project findings, a final stakeholder workshop will be held virtually on 13 June 13:00-15:00 CEST.

Various presentations will be held on findings related to effects of LCLM changes from publications, such as regional analyses of local and non-local effects, biogeophysical effects, implications of co-developed alternative SSP scenarios for Paris Agreement mitigation goals, local temperature effects on afforestation patterns, and health and labour productivity effects. The workshop will also offer insight into climate model emulator development, which offers opportunities for the generation of on-demand climate, climate impact projections, and coupling of biophysical and economic models. Please register by Friday, 9 June. A final agenda will be shared with registered participants.

Register for the event here by Friday 9 June
