JPI-Climate Workshop on Carbon dioxide removal (CDR): The role of Research & Development for advancing CDR in the EU

Event

The workshop will be held on 5 September, 2023 in Brussels. The objectives of the workshop:

  • Inform about ongoing research at national and EU level
  • Discuss research needs to support effective CDR policies and CDR implementation
  • Provide a useful platform to support the work of the European Scientific Advisory Board on Climate Change (ESABCC) and EEA
  • Identify gaps in R&D which can be filled by inputs from JPI Climate

Participants:

  • Experts from academia; Experts in EU policy on CDR: members of the EU parliament , relevant DGs (CLIMA/AGRI/ENV/RTD)
  • Delegates (funding representatives) and nominated experts from JPI Climate partner countries
