FERS Summer School: Carbon Dioxide Removal for a Net-Zero Future

From 3–13 June 2025, 20 participants will gather in Bertinoro, Italy, for an in-depth course on Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR). The programme will explore CDR technologies, their role in reaching climate targets, and the surrounding legal and governance challenges — preparing participants to contribute to informed decision-making for a net-zero future.
This course is designed to address key questions that are essential for understanding the topic:
- Overview of climate overshoot and the need for negative emissions
- Introduction to CDR options and technologies
- Scaling up CDR
- Public perception and CDR governance
The summer school is organized under the auspices of the Equinox Process.
