Workshop on key systems models, links and gaps and development options A workshop organised by the JPI Climate and European Commission DG RTD was held on 27-28 March 2019, in Brussels, with the aim to explore the state of play of key models, including how models are linked and gaps that may exist between them and development options.

Assessing local impacts of sea-level rise at the shore for mitigation and adaptation On March 18 & 19, 2019, JPI Climate Action Group Next Generation of Climate Sciences in Europe & JPI Oceans with the support of SINCERE, Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI), Deltares Netherlands, and CNRM Météo-France jointly organised a scoping workshop on “Assessing local impacts of sea-level rise at the shore for mitigation and adaptation”.

Call on Next Generation Climate Science in Europe for Oceans is launched JPI Climate & JPI Oceans Joint Transnational Call on Next Generation Climate Science in Europe for Oceans is launched on 18 of February. The joint call is supported by 9 countries with a total budget of 8.6 million EUR.

JPI Climate joins the climate demonstration in Brussels Following the international call launched by the young Swedish climate activist, Greta Thunberg, strikes and marches are being held in more than 80 countries around the world on Friday, March 15th. In Belgium have been planned actions in more than 21 cities across the country. Activists from JPI Climate also joined the march in Brussels.
