AXIS projects Kick off meeting The kick-off meeting of the ten AXIS projects took place on 5-6 November in Brussels. The goals of the meeting were to facilitate exchange and discussions on topics of mutual interest, identify synergies and options for cooperation and measures to maximize the projects' impacts and provide projects with recent information from developments in the EU and its research programmes.

JPI Climate and JPI Oceans jointly fund two international projects on Next Generation Climate Science in Europe for Oceans The projects, expected to start in the April 2020, will conduct research on interactions between oceans and climate by analysing model simulations and observational data. The research aims to better understand upper ocean variability and dynamics and ultimately improve the performance of climate models.

SINCERE project 3rd General Assembly The General Assembly of SINCERE project took place in Brussels on 22-24 October and included a gender balance training as foreseen in the Grant Agreement. All partners were represented including the ones of Africa and Latin America.

JPI Climate TAB meeting The JPI Climate Transdisciplinary Advisory Board meeting took place in Brussels on 23-24 October back to back with the SINCERE General Assembly and included a half day joint session focusing on engagement of the TAB in the next ECCA conference in 2021 in Slovenia.

Linking climate science and investors The ClimINVEST consortium invites to an open discussion on physical climate risk and financial impacts for investors and representatives of financial institutions and others. The event is taking place on 28 Nov '19 at Caisse des Dépôts in Paris and is a side event organized around the Climate Finance Day 2019 during “Paris for Tomorrow week”.

One year after the climateurope Festival in Belgrade On 10th October 2019 in Brussels, the Efficient Buildings Community held MED - Mediterranean Energy Debate a public event to present the solutions developed by the Community to the wide audience of the European Week of Regions and Cities. The event was a unique occasion for public administrators to learn from peers how to better design, implement and finance efficiency measures in public buildings and neighborhoods around the Mediterranean.
