You are invited to participate in an online stakeholder survey as part of an evaluation of the EU Climate Change Adaptation Strategy. The survey is available here and will be open until Friday 21st July 2017. The questionnaire is comprised of a series of multiple choice and free text questions. It has been structured to give you the opportunity to focus your responses on the Action(s) that are of primary interest to you.

The EU Climate Change Adaptation Strategy, adopted in April 2013, provides a framework and mechanisms to better prepare the EU for current and future impacts of climate change. The Strategy foresaw that the European Commission would evaluate it in 2017, report to the European Parliament and the Council on the state of its implementation, and propose any changes, if needed. The evaluation of the Strategy is underway and it is examining the actual implementation of it, as compared to what was expected. It will provide conclusions on how the Strategy has performed, what experience has been gained and what lessons can be learned.

The evaluation should help the European Commission to:
• Have a better understanding of whether and how the EU Climate Change Adaptation Strategy has achieved its objectives.
• Assess and quantify the impacts of the Strategy.
The Commission is being assisted in this evaluation by a research consortium led by Ricardo Energy & Environment.

If you have any queries about the questionnaire, please contact james.tweed@ricardo.com

If you are not in a position to respond, please pass this survey on to a colleague within your organisation.
