On 28 June 2017 more than 60 participants attended the COST transdisciplinary strategic event on Water for Food and Agriculture in the Mediterranean Area in Brussels. This event brought together relevant actors, funding initiatives and researchers, SME and other stakeholder representatives, to reflect on the current state of the art, identify and provide input on desirable development of the research topics.
|JPI Climate was represented by the CS and gave a brief presentation on current projects and activities. The key take away message for JPI Climate and many other organisations was that the connection of initiatives was key to avoid duplication of research efforts, create synergies and added value to the knowledge towards impact and societal benefit. It was recommended that COST should play a major role in creating those connections especially in the field of public public partnerships but also in reaching out to the private sector. |
A report of this meeting will be available soon.
JPI Climate is invited to the next COST Connect workshop on Climate and Forestry to be held the first half of 2018.
